ABOUT ME

Native to Washington, D.C., my immersion into a myriad of arts, cultures, spiritualities and ethnicities from an early age led me to begin my journey in pursuit of knowledge of self.  I learned at an early age the importance of advocating on behalf of the voiceless by studying the legacies of freedom fighters, revolutionaries, and the key figures of the Black Power and Civil Rights movements.

This life long journey has allowed me to lecture at universities in the Middle East, work as a school leader on the island of Zanzibar in Africa, share my content knowledge as an English teacher with scholars in the states, and form a nonprofit with the intent on providing marginalized youth extra-curricular socio-emotional support through martial arts training.

In addition to being the Executive Director of BAD Budokai Inc., I work as an Advocate in East North Carolina; Oxford and Durham, in the

capacity of advocating on behalf of African American families in Durham by developing research-based interventions and programs as well as assisting in identifying opportunities of personal and professional growth for each member of the family.

Aside from my work, I’m an avid reader, a highly-critical movie watcher, and a recreational adventurer.  As a husband, and father of five, I'm always on the go, but would love nothing more than to share a moment with you.

To you, I bring my love of seeing people live in their purpose, my concern for the world, and my vision for our future. I believe that the right support given in the perfect moment, can be revolutionarily world changing. At a moment's notice, our lives may change for the better, or unfortunately for the worst. However, it's how we choose to meet those moments that will define our legacies forever.

Spend a moment with me, and let's talk about you.
